The American Institute of Architects look to ensure the people of the planet are well educated about the best in architecture with the people of the world understanding the best in design as being available from all corners of the globe; AIA Executive Vice-President and CEO, Robert Ivy has looked to aid in the education of the public by using his personal social media accounts to provide a glimpse into his own view of the best in global architecture.
Robert Ivy arrived at the American Institute of Architects as EVP and CEO after a long and successful career as a lead at one of the top architectural offices in the world and as a writer and editor. After completing his education with a Masters in Architecture from Tulane University, Robert Ivy spent the first years of his career as a Principal at the Dean/Dale, Dean & Ivy architectural group from 1981 to 1996.

During his time as a working architect, Robert Ivy also spent a large part of his career working as a journalist and critic for many major national publications before he made the move to build a high-quality educational program dedicated to creating more awareness about the state of architecture around the world. Robert Ivy spent a number of years working as the Editor-in-Chief of Architectural Record before he made his way to the American Institute of Architects as the Executive Vice-President and Chief Executive Officer which allowed him the opportunity to play a major role in the future direction of architecture in the U.S. and around the world.
Robert Ivy obviously spends a large amount of time exploring the changes being made to the architectural and construction industries which have seen the AIA play a key role in shaping policy from their headquarters in Washington D.C. Through social media platforms, Robert Ivy spends a large amount of his time looking to show the people of the world the best in architecture from all civilizations on his Instagram and Twitter accounts; a range of images show the different styles of architecture which Robert Ivy feels inspired by as he sets out to show how important strong design is to the development of the world and various global civilizations.
